A050 US Navy/Marine Corps Information Operations SME.
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC, a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking a qualified and available US Navy/Marine Corps Information Operations SME. to support a potential Federal client in Virginia Beach, Virginia with overseas travel, may be required to support mobile training teams (MTT) and conferences/workshops and seminars that relate to the IO course material. Examples of travel destinations include Camp Lejeune, NC; Quantico, VA; Camp Pendleton, CA; San Antonio, TX; Okinawa, JA; Germany.
The position is full-time, long-term in nature, and available immediately upon contract award.
Position Title: Information Operations/Information Warfare/Operations in the Information Environment Subject Matter Expertise and Instructor Services
General Duties:
- Revise/maintain the IMIOPC and AMIOPC curriculum to fulfill the training objectives identified in the Course Descriptive Data (CDD) and master lesson files.
- Input triggering a need for updates to materials may come in the form of recommendations from various training, fleet and operating forces representatives, formative and summative evaluations, and post-development inspection of the course.
- Revise/maintain planning tools, milestones, coordinating documents, and training curricula to implement these two courses and instruct classes.
- Provide formal classroom instruction in accordance with the IMIOPC and AMIOPC Programs of Instruction (POI). These formal documents form the basis for the courses.
- All periods of instruction will be scheduled by EWTGLANT academics and no more than two periods of instruction will be scheduled concurrently for IO related lessons supported by this requirement.
- Training shall comply with all standards of the Marine Corps Instructor Course and applicable Marine Corps orders governing instruction at formal learning centers.
- Provide formal classroom instruction to other EWTGLANT courses teaching IO related lessons.
- Support the maintenance and execution of the IMIOPC and AMIOPC course material in order to fulfill the training objectives identified in the POI and as indicated by input from various training, fleet and operating forces representatives, formative and summative evaluations, and inspection of the courses.
- Support the maintenance of planning tools, milestones, coordinating documents, and training curricula to design and implement the IMIOPC, AMIOPC, and Basic Information Operations Course (BIOSC).
- The process will include all five phases of the SAT process and the contractor is responsible to provide requisite curriculum development support to government completion standards of all master lesson files and instructor support products required to instruct the course.
- Shall support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of BIOSC. This is the creation of a new course and the contractor will assist the government team in all phases of the SAT process.
- Responsible to provide requisite curriculum development support and develop course Design and Development files in accordance.
- Provide SME participation at IO and OIE conferences, Course Content Review Boards (CCRB), and other events where IO related curriculum is used and/or discussed.
- Following CCRB recommendation, the contractor shall provide curriculum support to EWTGLANT in the development and implementation of any new and sustainment of existing Master Lesson Files (MLF) and other course-associated curricula.
- Prepare lesson plans which reflect the material content and methodology required to achieve the instructional objectives.
- Detailing subject matter and references to be included in POI’s.
- Developing course materials such as study guides, visual aids, simulations (mockup models), proficiency charts, training aids, handouts, and course and instructional outlines.
- Determining optimal adult learning instructional methods that best convey the course material using 21st Century Teaching Techniques.
- Constructing questions pertaining to his/her area of instructional responsibility for inclusion in course examinations.
- Revising lesson plans to include updated course material, coordinating updates in concert with other related courses of instruction.
- Support course material research, development, and curriculum update to include:
- Researching training source material to ensure currency, adequacy, and accuracy of established documents.
- Provide research support and support the application of lessons learned pertinent to amphibious operations doctrine and procedures.
- Support assimilation of current directives concerning new systems, doctrine, technical information procedures, and recommending changes in course content or course materials as required.
- Support evaluation and assessment adequacy and appropriateness of the content.
- Participate in the post-course review of course materials in light of student critiques.
- Participate in course review with EWTGLANT leadership as required.
- Recommend course revisions based upon subject matter expertise.
- The total combined instructor and course development manhours has historically been 3,640 manhours per year.
