HR Benefits Assistant
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking 2 qualified and available HR Benefits and Retirement Specialists to support a prospective Federal client in Washington, D.C. The positions are full-time, long-term, and available upon contract award.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
· Must have experience providing support to federal staff in accordance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
· Orientation and counseling on the federal benefits and retirement programs such as: Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS), FERS-Revised Annuity Employees (FERSRAE), FERS-Further Revised Annuity Employee (FERS-FRAE), Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), Civil Service Retirement System-Offset (CS-Offset), the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance Program (FEGLI), Federal Employees' Health Benefits Program (FEHB), Federal Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), Federal Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAFEDS), Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), the Thrift Savings Plan, and Social Security, Beneficiary, etc.
· Processing employee benefits.
· Maintaining employees’ records in the Official Personnel File/Electronic Official Personnel File (eOPF) system.
· Performing payroll services and actions using payroll providers systems including the National Finance Center (NFC) and the Interior Business Center (IBC), as a second priority.
· Conducting leave audits, using systems such as Time and Attendance system (WebTA) and NFC.
· Managing leave programs including Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP).
· Calculating non-standard service requests and updating relative systems such as NFC and WebTA
· Performing Service computation dates including requesting service history documentation from other agencies.
Personnel Action Requests (PAR) Processing:
· Conducting on-boarding activities for employees to include new hire paperwork intake.
· Entering manual payments and quick service requests in NFC systems (SPPS).
· Processing employment verifications and certifying Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) requests.
· Conducting payroll processing including tax, address, Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), allotments, garnishments, and health benefits.
· Conducting awards processing including performance (individual/group), incentive, time-off, honorary, special achievement, and cash awards.
