Salary: Competitive for the Denver, CO area, commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (One base year + four option years)
Company Overview: Cameo Consulting Group, LLC, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Assistant to provide critical support to the National Park Service (NPS), Denver Service Center (DSC). In this role, you will be an essential part of the team that supports large-scale design and construction projects at NPS units nationwide. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions, including timekeeping, travel coordination, and meeting scheduling. Your accuracy and efficiency will directly contribute to the smooth operation of the DSC and the success of the NPS mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Divisional Timekeeping: Serve as the primary timekeeper for a division. Accurately enter, maintain, and edit employees' time and attendance records in the automated payroll system (FBMS), ensuring all account numbers are correct. (Target: 20 actions/bi-weekly)
- Travel Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of travel arrangements for divisional staff. Prepare detailed itineraries, obtain required approvals, and prepare travel authorizations and vouchers in full compliance with federal travel regulations, guidelines, and policies. (Target: 45 actions/month)
- Voucher Examination & Routing: Examine travel vouchers for 100% accuracy and ensure they are properly routed for approval. (Target: 45 actions/month)
- Travel Spreadsheet Management: Establish and maintain detailed travel spreadsheets to track authorizations, expenses, and other relevant data. (Target: 10 actions/month)
- Travel Card Reconciliation: Receive, review, and reconcile monthly travel card statements for divisional staff, ensuring all charges are valid and properly documented. (Target: 37 actions/month)
- Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and schedule all divisional meetings, including logistical arrangements and communication with attendees. (Target: 3 actions/month)
- Ancillary Support: Provide additional administrative support services as assigned to support the DSC's cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on administrative support experience.
- Timekeeping: Demonstrated experience entering, maintaining, and auditing time and attendance records in an automated system. Experience with FBMS is highly desirable.
Federal Travel Coordination: Proven experience coordinating travel, preparing travel authorizations (e.g., Form DI-1020), and processing travel vouchers in compliance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and Department of the Interior policies.
Reconciliation: Experience reconciling procurement or travel card statements, reviewing charges for accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation. - Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel for creating and maintaining spreadsheets and Outlook for calendar management and professional correspondence.
Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills to interact effectively with travelers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Additional Details:
- Place of Performance: This position requires a hybrid schedule. Work will be performed fifty percent (50%) on-site at the Denver Federal Center, Building 50, Denver, CO 80225, and fifty percent (50%) via telework.
- Work Schedule: Core work hours are between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday.
- Onboarding Deadline: All contractor employees must be onboarded and performing their duties no later than May 1, 2026.
- Security: All candidates will be subject to a Background Investigation and must be able to meet Department of the Interior security requirements, including HSPD-12 compliance.
- Equipment: The NPS will furnish a laptop, docking station, monitors, and necessary equipment for both on-site and telework performance. Contractors are responsible for providing their own cell phone.
